Access Conditions and what you need to apply to the Biobank Signature:
Any qualified researcher from the public sector can request material the Biobank, under the following conditions :
- Consultation with the Signature Access Committee is required in the event of a 70% overlap between two requests.
- Researchers must prove that they have the funds to cover the access costs.
- Researchers must consent to the management framework regulations (Please see the management framework for more details).
- Researchers must provide a copy of Ethics Board approval for their research project
- Research shall agree to return data generated from the biospecimens of the Biobank.
- Researchers shall ackownedge the Signature Biobank in any publication related to the use of data and/or biomaterial from the Biobank.

GENERAL ACCESS PROCEDURE
- STEP 1: Present an access request form to the Biobank either online, or by email to signature.iusmm@ssss.gouv.qc.ca.
- STEP 2: The Signature Access committee evaluates the request and issue a response with an access cost estimate to the researcher. This assessment mainly involves verifying the availability of the data and possible duplication of another request.
- STEP 3: Submit the research project to their local Research Ethics Board.
- STEP4: Complete and provide all agreement documentations : (1) a signed Materiel Transfer Aggrement (2) approved and signed quote for material (3) provide an ethics approval copy from a local Research Ethics Board.
- STEP 5: The signature Biobank send the requested material
